Glad to finally be back online after 3 weeks of what the technician called a 'wobbly' signal. Our main tower that keeps us up and running was hit by lightening multiple times and we've been having a difficult time staying online since that time. We've waited patiently while they worked on that problem all this time, only to find out that our problem was unrelated. So ... after a personal visit from our technician, and a new receiver and redirected satellite, it looks like we are good to go. Yay! I always feel so disconnected when my email and internet won't work properly. Will be glad to get connected once again.
We've had a pretty busy few weeks. Jared and I attended a photography school for two weeks ... that was more than great ... will have to tell you all about it sometime soon. Over the last couple of weeks, we've had the opportunity to practice our new skills a few times on various outings ... will have to share some of those sometime soon, as well.
I celebrated a Mother's Day full of mixed emotions. My blessings continue to overflow and I'm so thankful to have 5 wonderful kiddos who made me feel extra special. Brandi took me Mother's Day shopping the day before and spoiled me with a cool new macro lens and a reflector. Even so, there were moments of sadness on this day ... a day when the absence of our Dustin is so obvious. I appreciate your prayers and your 'thinking of you' notes during a difficult and precious day of memories. You are all blessings to my heart.
Tomorrow our family heads south to Ft. Hood Army Base. There will be a special memorial service and monument dedication to honor the soldiers from the 4th infantry who fell during 2005 and 2006. This too will most likely be a difficult day. We would appreciate your prayers on our behalf and on behalf of all those who will gather in various places to honor their precious children who died serving our country.
Take time today to truly honor those you love. Value your time together ... spend precious moments ... make treasured memories.
We love you!

And glad to hear from you! I've been thinking about you and wondering how things are going for you all. Hope that we can sit down over some tea one of these days and kinda... get caught up.
I love you.

Glad to hear that you are connected again. I would likely go nuts if I lost access to the 'net. Praying for you all.
